About Us

Founded in 2000, DMW Civil Engineers is owned by Jade P. Miller, a Colorado Licensed Professional Engineer (PE#33885) with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (1993, CSU). Jade is also a Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and has been in the field of civil engineering for 14 years.  When Jade was a boy, he had a huge collection of legos and built “everything under the sun with them.”

Legos.

Our clients tell us that we're much more responsive than other engineers. When there's a crisis on a job site or with a submittal deadline, we go to great lengths to get the work done. We pride ourselves on our personalized service. When you call, you talk directly with the engineer in charge of your project.

Leaving a legacy of systems that work

DMW Civil Engineers wants to leave a legacy of systems that work. “Usually, in our line of work,” Jade says, “the only engineers you hear about are the ones that didn’t design something right and now there is a big problem that someone has to fix. My goal is for the systems we design (water, sewer, storm sewer, drainage & detention) to work, without intervention, the way they were designed, so that no one has to think about them at all.”

Wikipedia , the online encyclopedia, says that:

“Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the construction and design of public and private sector works such as bridges, roads, dams and buildings. Civil engineering is the oldest engineering discipline after military engineering and it was defined to distinguish it from military engineering. It is traditionally broken into several sub-disciplines including environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, water resources engineering, materials engineering, coastal engineering, surveying, urban planning, and construction engineering.”
